Take a look at the pink circles. If you’re like most people, the circle on the right probably looks bigger, but they are actually the same size. People of the Himba tribe are not so easily fooled by optical illusions like this. The Himba can be found in the small town of Opuwo, Namibia in small numbers. They’re easy to pick out, with the distinctive red paint that they spread on their skin and hair.
Chatbot Love Affair
Dr. Robert Epstein fell in love with the woman of his dreams. The only problem was it wasn’t a real woman. He had been fooled by a computer chatbot. If anyone should have known better, it was Dr. Epstein. He’s a psychologist who specializes in relationships and love and he’s one of the world’s leading researchers in computer-human interactions.
Electronic Nose Can Detect 17 Diseases
Detecting sickness by the way you smell is on the cutting edge of medical technology. We all have a unique smell called an odorprint. And it depends on our age, sex, health, and the food we eat.
A mother and her six children were accused of killing a five-year-old boy in Savigny, France in 1457. The mother and children were brought before a court to answer for their crimes. The mother was found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging, but her children were freed. Although the six children had blood on them, no one had witnessed them attacking the 5-year-old boy. It was a standard court case with villagers who had witnessed the crime, a defense attorney, prosecutors, and a judge. The only unusual thing was that the mother who was sentenced to death was a pig, and her six children were piglets.
The End Of The World As We Know It
Preppers are people who believe the end of the world is coming, and you better be prepared. What exactly is a prepper preparing for? Well, the word ‘prepper’ is a catch-all term. The modern-day prepper might be preparing for a biblical end of days or an economic collapse that results in chaos. Natural disasters such as tsunamis and massive earthquakes are also common prepper fears. And, of course, a terrorist attack is also a prepper favorite.
The Apollo program was a series of space flights with the goal of landing a man on the moon. This was finally accomplished in 1969 during the Apollo 11 mission when Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon’s surface. As he did so, he famously said, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” While the Apollo 11 space mission is the most well known, it was the Apollo 17 mission that brought home the most reproduced photograph of all time.
Maybe death is just another disease that doctors will one day cure. That was the dream of Professor Robert Ettinger, who is the godfather of cryonics. First dreamed up by Ettinger in the 1960s, cryonics is the freezing of bodies in the hopes of one day being able to bring them back to life in the future. Of course, there is no guarantee that this will ever happen, but the dream is that medical science will advance to the point where this will be possible. Perhaps the idea is not so far-fetched considering that scientists have already revived a small microscopic animal in Siberia after being frozen for 24,000 years.
Four Day Work Week
The English language is full of idioms extolling the virtues of hard work. We praise employees who are willing to fight tooth and nail for the company. Someone ready to go the extra mile is the kind of worker we want on our team. But employees who keep their noses to the grindstone might not be what companies need to be successful.
