Mannequin Man Robs Shopping Mall
blend in: to look or act like those around you so that others don’t notice you
In an unusual case in Poland, a 22-year-old robber disguised himself as a mannequin. Standing motionless in a shop window, he deceived both staff and customers.
The police reported that this man blended in with other mannequins, waited for the store to close, and then stole jewelry.
Another time, he waited until a shopping mall closed, went to a restaurant to eat, and then went to a clothing store where he swapped his old clothes for new ones.
His clever tactics eventually failed. He was caught by security and now faces up to 10 years in prison.
