Future of Travel: A Train Faster than Planes
come up with: to think of or introduce a new idea, solution, or product
China has come up with a train that will travel faster than planes! On a test run, this train reached a stunning speed of 281 miles per hour. That’s quicker than any train before it!
China hopes this train will go as fast as 621 mph in the future. To understand how quick that is, most airplanes fly at about 545 mph to 574 mph.
This train, known as a maglev, floats in the air using magnetic levitation. It doesn’t touch the ground and can move without noise.
It’s not just fast. These trains are also good for our planet. They don’t produce harmful pollution, and animals can safely pass below them.
This train is still being tested, but we might see it running in 3 to 10 years.
