The world’s tallest and shortest women met in London for afternoon tea to celebrate Guinness World Records Day. Rumeysa Gelgi, who is from Turkey and is 215.16 cm tall, met Jyoti Amge from India, who is 62.8 cm tall. Despite their height difference, they enjoyed spending time together. Gelgi said, “We do have things in common. We both love make-up, self-care, jewelry, and doing our nails.”
Gelgi, a web designer, was named the tallest woman in the world in 2021. Her height is due to a rare condition called Weaver syndrome. Amge, who holds the record for the shortest woman, also has a growth disorder but lives a full life as an actress.
