See the Faroe Islands and Japan Through Animal Eyes
in person: to be physically present somewhere to do something, instead of online or on the phone
Google Street View inside Google Maps allows people to explore the world from their computer or smartphone. The most common way to capture Street View images is with a car with a special 360° camera. However, Google uses many other creative methods to reach difficult or unique locations. For example, tricycles, boats, and snowmobiles have been used in places where cars cannot go. They even developed a special backpack with a camera, which people can carry along narrow paths, like those in Venice or on mountain trails.
In some cases, Google has even added an animal perspective to Street View. In Akita, Japan, Google created images by strapping cameras to the back of dogs. Google Sheep View brought Street View to the Faroe Islands, with cameras mounted on sheep.
