Grandmother Lost in Forest Survives with the Help of a Fox
keep someone company: to stay with someone so they are not alone
An 88-year-old grandmother, Giuseppina Bardelli, survived for four days lost in a forest in Italy. She got separated from her son while looking for mushrooms. Ms. Bardelli fell and hurt herself, breaking her ribs and injuring her lung. Despite the pain, her will to live was strong. Her son said she drank rainwater from puddles and covered herself with leaves to stay warm. Most surprising, she says she befriended a fox. The fox visited her several times and kept her company during the ordeal. Rescuers found her after four days, and now she is safe in the hospital. Her family is very happy she survived, and they thank everyone who helped.
