Fisherman Saves Trapped Baby Dolphin With A Kiss
look out for someone: to take care of and protect someone
In Laguna, Brazil, an extraordinary partnership exists between fishermen and bottlenose dolphins. Every summer, the fishermen and dolphins work together. The dolphins push fish towards the nets, and the fishermen catch them. This benefits both the dolphins and the fishermen. Scientists have found that dolphins that work with humans live longer. They have a 13% higher survival rate to adulthood. This is because they get extra food from the fishermen.
Fishermen and dolphins don’t just look out for each other in Laguna. A heartwarming video of a fisherman saving a baby dolphin comes out of Guarujá, São Paulo, Brazil. The fisherman explained that he saw something moving in the water. It was a dolphin trapped in a net. The dolphin swam towards his boat, and the fisherman gently pulled it out of the net and released it back into the sea. The most touching moment was when the fisherman gave the little dolphin a kiss on its head before letting it go.
