A 1925 Vision of Life in 2025
spot on: to be exactly correct
In 1925, Archibald Montgomery Low amazed everyone with bold predictions about the year 2025. Low was an inventor who built an early television and the world’s first drone. In his book The Future, he predicted people would have video phones and alarm clocks. He also said we would use moving walkways in busy buildings similar to escalators today.
He was spot on with several other predictions, such as using wind and tide for energy. However, he didn’t get everything right. He imagined we would all wear felt onesies, which hasn’t happened yet. But 2025 isn’t finished, so maybe we still have time.
