Watch This Surfing Cat Ride the Waves in Hawaii

Most cats run from water—but not Hokule’a. He jumps into the bathtub, plays in the rain, and even rides waves at the beach.
His owners first saw how special he was when he followed them into the shower. One day, they took him to the beach. Hokule’a played on the sand, swam in the water, and even tried surfing.
Now, he surfs often. After a surf session, his family rinses him with clean water, dries him, and gives him a snack. They always check that he is calm and happy.
His owner said, “We don’t want to make him stress out, so we always have to make sure that he’s comfortable when we go in the ocean.”
Hokule’a shows that not all cats are afraid of water. Some were made for the waves.
