A moment of panic turned into a moment of laughter during an earthquake in southern China. The 9th-floor apartment began to shake while a family was having dinner. As the father grabbed his younger son and headed toward the door, the older son followed. But seconds later, he ran back to the table. His goal wasn’t safety. It was the food.
He picked up his stir-fried pork and vegetables and a bowl of rice and ran for the door again. His father shouted at him to leave the food and just run.
